Progress Review

This is only available for children/young people who have had a previous assessment or a period of therapy with the SLT, to provide a review of their progress, and to develop/update supportive speech and language strategies.

The session involves: 

1. Information gathering from parents and, with parental permission, from school/nursery.  

2. Working with the child through play, observations and informal tasks.  The purpose is to obtain a picture of the child's language and communication ability, and in case of a review, to monitor his/her progress, and to advise further actions required to address the child's needs, e.g. referral to another service.

3. Feedback to family and school/nursery on the SLT's findings, and advice on strategies to help.  We will also discuss next steps.

4. A set of written PLP targets will be provided upon conclusion of the session as part of this package.  Full payment must be received before the school/nursery visit takes place.  Expressed parental consent must be sought and confirmed by the school for the visit to take part, and family will received a copy of the PLP targets as a matter of cause.

A short progress report may be provided subsequent to the review session by request.  This must be requested at the beginning, before the review session takes place, and is charged an extra £300.00.

Full payment for the whole package must be received no less than 1 week before the review visit is due to take place.

The draft report, if a report has been requested as part of this package, will be released for parental verification only after full payment has been received.  Parental consent must be confirmed before reports are shared with school.  Parents will receive a copy of the report as a matter of course.

(Cases that have had no contact for 1 month or more are closed, and a standard SLT assessment will have be conducted, which will be charged as such)
