EHCP/EHCP Review Contribution
COST: £700.00 Classroom observation and Report only
This package is only provided to children/young people who are currently working with the SLT, or who completed a package of therapy with the SLT within the last 1 month, AND for whom all information and assessment findings necessary are available to enable a valid SLT report and recommendations for EHCP be provided. A classroom observation must be conducted as part of this package and is not optional, as a full picture of how your child functions in his educational setting is essential to informing recommendations for EHCP provision, which must be directly relevant to your child's educational needs, as per EHCP requirement.
The report will be completed in a format consistent with that which is adopted for EHCPs by the local authority.
COST: £1100.00 Assessment, Classroom Observation and Report
This package is provided to:
• Children/young people who have not worked with me before or for over 1 month
• Children/young people who are currently receiving therapy from the SLT, or completed a therapy package within the last 1 month, but with whom further assessments need to be conducted to obtain adequate information, to enable a full SLT report and recommendations for EHCP be provided.
This involves:
1. Information gathering from you and, with your permission, from school/nursery.
2. Working with your child and conducting informal assessments or observations. This is to obtain a picture of your child's functional language and communication ability, strengths and needs.
3. Conducting formal assessments with your child as necessary and appropriate. This involves using standardised tests to obtain a quantitative measure of specific aspects of your child's speech and language skills, to enable a more in-depth profile of your child's strengths and needs.
4. This EHCP package includes a classroom observation, separate from the conducting of assessment tasks, as part of the package and is not optional, as a full picture of how your child functions in his educational setting is essential to informing recommendations for EHCP provision, which must be directly relevant to your child's educational needs, as per EHCP requirement.
5. Feedback to you on the assessment findings and their implication to therapy and longer-term needs
6. A detailed SLT report to contribute towards an EHC Plan, with specific recommendations for support & provision. The report will be completed in a format consistent with that which is adopted for EHCPs by the local authority.
The assessment may be conducted over more than 1 sessions.
