Before any commission is accepted, the commissioning body must provide the SLT with a PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER and information regarding who to send the invoice to.
If consultation is about a specific child, parental consent for the SLT to liaise with school and other relevant professionals, and to share reports and/or care plans must be confirmed before the SLT can work with the child in any capacity.
A designated member of staff from the school, e.g. SENCO, is to be the liaison with the SLT. Once appointment date/s and time/s are arranged with the SLT, it is the school’s responsibility to liaise with and invite all relevant personnel to attend the meeting, and, if the meeting/consultation is about a specific child, to keep the child’s parent/s informed of who have been invited.
Online meetings are hosted by the SLT on Zoom. It is the responsibility of all personnel attending the meeting to ensure they are logged on in good time.
For in-person visits, It is the school’s responsibility to have the space for the meeting ready before the session starts, e.g. finding a suitable room and preparing the space for the meeting, and briefing others who are not part of the meeting to refrain from entering the space for the duration of the meeting.
Meeting/consultations are booked for a minimum of 1 hour. If the meeting goes over an hour, then an agreement with school/the commissioning organisation will be made regarding extending the meeting, by increments of 30 minutes, and the meeting/consultation will be charged accordingly. In-person visits will incur an additional £100.
Any agreed action points from the meeting advised by the SLT are expected to be carried out. The SLT will endeavour to implement any agreed action point allocated to her.
Any cancellation or re-scheduling of a meeting on the part of the school (parent if the child is home-schooled) must be made with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Any session cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation charge at full Consultation rate for 1 hour, i.e. £100 for online session, or £120 for in-person visit.
If there are extenuating circumstances, e.g. sudden illness or emergency, allowance may be made but this is entirely at the SLT’s discretion, and must not be considered a given. In any case, school must still contact the SLT at the first opportunity BEFORE the session, or the cancellation charge will apply.
If the SLT has to cancel the meeting due to unexpected circumstances, e.g. illness, the SLT will endeavour to contact the school at the first opportunity and reschedule the meeting. There will be no extra charge for re-scheduling the meeting.
In case a meeting has to be cancelled, be it by school or by the SLT, the school will take responsibility for contacting all other participants to inform them of the cancellation.
The commissioning organisation (e.g. school or local authority) will be invoiced after the consultation session, at the end of which the charged amount will be confirmed based on actual time spent in the meeting. Full payment must be settled within 2 weeks after the date the invoice is issued. Delays in settling payments may incur additional charge. The SLT reserves the right to seek settlement of any unpaid fees through the Small Claims Court.
All payments are by bank transfer. Only payments in full amount gross i.e. before tax, are accepted. If there is any issue with payment, the commissioning organisation must contact the SLT to discuss and agree alternative option/s for payment without delay (no reason for delays or failure in following up on the part of the funding organisation will be accepted). Payment deadline must still be met, or there will be additional charge incurred.
Any SLT input other than Consultation requested, e.g. assessment, therapy, programmes, training, will be invoiced for separately. Full payment (gross) must be settled within 2 weeks of the date of the invoice.
